Freire-Romero Fight Pulled From Bellator 14

Thursday’s Bellator 14 bout between Patricio
Freire (12-0) and William
Romero (5-0) has been pulled off the card following visa issues
for Freire.
The contest has been rescheduled for Bellator 15 on April 22, according to a press release sent by the promotion on Wednesday evening.
Taking the fight’s place on Thursday’s FOX Sports Net-televised bill will be a lightweight showdown pitting Toby Imada (23-13) against James Krause (11-2).
“Injuries and visa issues, while unfortunate, are bound to happen when you put on almost 100 fights over the course of 12 weeks,” stated Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney in the release. “We plan for the unexpected to happen, though, and had James Krause -- an outstanding young fighter -- waiting in the wings. He’s a great match-up for Toby Imada and I know they’re going to put on a great fight Thursday in Chicago.”
