Podcast: Beatdown After The Bell- Strikeforce: Tate Vs. Rousey
Mar 4, 2012 Comments
Jordan Breen returned to The Sherdog Radio Network for the second
of his back-to-back 'Beatdown After The Bell' duties. 'The
Mastermind' recapped all of Saturday's Strikeforce action while
taking listener calls, tweets and emails.
In the main event, Ronda Rousey was able to maintain her perfect 5-0 record, all via armbar, and capture the Strikeforce women's 135-pound title by defeating Miesha Tate in the opening frame.
Josh Thomson was able to dispose of K.J. Noons via a unanimous decision victory, mainly through dominant top control and mat work. The victory may set up a 'rubber-match' between Thomson and the current 155-pound Strikeforce king, Gilbert Melendez.
