Strikeforce Challengers 11 Medical Suspensions: Three Hit for 180 Days

Five fighters who competed at Strikeforce Challengers 11 on Friday at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., have been suspended following their bouts, and three may be out up to six months. The California State Athletic Commission on Tuesday released the suspensions.

Virgil Zwicker, Dominic Clark and Brandon Cash may be out up to 180 days due to injuries sustained during their fights. Zwicker’s right elbow may be fractured after he was dominated and knocked out by Lavar Johnson in round one. Clark suffered damage to his right knee and left eardrum after being TKO’d by David Douglas in the second round. Cash has been set back by possible fractures to his left knee and right ankle, stemming from his first-round submission loss to John Devine. All three fighters may be cleared early by a physician.
