Brock Lesnar has not closed the door on a possible return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
On the Aug. 4 edition of “The MMA Hour,” Lesnar’s manager, Paul Heyman, touched on the idea that the former heavyweight champion could someday return to the Octagon: “If a change of circumstance happens, and it’s a no-brainer to get Brock back into the cage, I’m sure it’s something he would consider. At this moment, it’s not a topic of conversation because things are going so well in WWE.”
Lesnar will headline World Wrestling Entertainment’s SummerSlam pay-per-view against John Cena on Aug. 17 at the Staples Center in Los Angles. He captured the UFC heavyweight crown in just his fourth professional MMA appearance in November 2008, when he put away Randy Couture with second-round punches. Now 37, Lesnar announced his retirement following a technical knockout loss to Alistair Overeem at UFC 141 a little less than three years ago.
