Team Alpha Male’s Urijah Faber
will challenge bantamweight champion Dominick
Cruz (Pictured) for his title in the UFC
132 main event on July 2 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las
Vegas. It will be a rematch of their WEC 26 meeting, which Faber
won by first-round guillotine choke. Are there any lasting impacts
from that encounter four years ago? Faber’s Brazilian jiu-jitsu
coach, Fabio Prado,
in a recent interview with Sherdog.com:
“Dominick is traumatized. He choked on that guillotine last time, and he’s coming in like a beast now, for sure. Faber is very focused. He has no injuries, no problems. He’s completely ready, just waiting for July 2.”
