Urijah Faber Leaning Toward Picking Renan Barao Over Dominick Cruz
Urijah
Faber, on “Beatdown,”
discussing the UFC 169 bantamweight title bout between champions
Dominick
Cruz and Renan
Barao:
“I don’t think the injury is going to be an issue for Cruz. I think he’s too mentally strong for that. I think it’s really going to come down to who’s the better fighter and how they match up. I’m kind of leaning towards Barao just because I feel like he’s a little bit more durable than Cruz. … I don’t think Cruz is going to be able to hurt him, and Barao is super dangerous on the ground as well and Cruz likes to do those takedowns to score points. I think he’s going to have a difficult time with Barao with that, but I really don’t know. I’m looking forward to watching it.”
