Vega-Tims Official for Bellator 26
Sherdog.com Staff Aug 6, 2010
In a battle of familiar foes, Danny Tims
and Jose
Vega will lock horns for a third time at
Bellator 26 on Aug. 26 at the Kansas City Power & Light
District in Kansas City, Mo.
Tims bested Vega in their first encounter at an unknown event.
“Our first fight was in his hometown, and I don't like to be a sore
loser, but I got him to admit that I beat him right after that
fight,” said Vega (8-3) of Knob Noster, Mo., in a press release. “I
ended up losing a real close decision, but we all know why they
gave him that, because it was in his hometown.”
Vega turned the tables at a 2008 IFC one-night tournament in Sturgis, N.D.
“I fought Jose in the finals of that tournament after fighting literally 25 minutes earlier, and by the second round I was throwing up because I was so dehydrated, so I stood up and told the ref I was done,” stated Tims (9-2-1), of Independence, Mo.
Aug. 26’s card will air live on Fox Sports, as will all Bellator season three events.
