Gone but never forgotten, Lawler returned to the Ultimate Fighting Championship for the first time in nearly a decade and stopped Koscheck with thudding ground-and-pound in the first round of their welterweight showcase at the Honda Center. “Ruthless Robbie” sealed the deal 3:57 into Round 1, as he made his first Octagon appearance since his submission loss to Evan Tanner on Oct. 22, 2004. Koscheck struck for a pair of takedowns but failed to keep his heavy-handed adversary corralled. Lawler sprawled out of a takedown, blasted the four-time NCAA All-American wrestler with a left hand and polished him off with a series of rights on the ground.
