Another MMA fighter we will discuss later is more famous for using this song, but the first notable instance of a “Zombie” walkout was by Daly. In front of a hometown crowd in Dublin, Daly walks out to the 1994 track by Irish alternative rock band The Cranberries. The song itself is about The Troubles, a period of violence in Northern Ireland dating from roughly the late 1960s to 1998. Naturally, it's a big hit with the crowd, with many cheering as Daly herself mouths the lyrics to the de facto alternate national anthem. Again, it's not the best use of this song by an Irish fighter in front of an Irish crowd, but it deserves credit for being the first, which one voter judging it as his No. 1 pick.
