7. Alistair Overeem vs. Fedor Emelianenko
The fact that these two all-time greats never locked horns during their time in Pride Fighting Championships and Strikeforce boggles the mind. Emelianenko for many longtime observers remains the standard by which all other heavyweights are judged. The stoic Russian compiled a ridiculous 27-0 record with one no-contest from April 6, 2001 until Nov. 7, 2009. Emelianenko has defeated four former UFC champions -- Mark Coleman (twice), Kevin Randleman, Andrei Arlovski and Tim Sylvia -- and three Olympic medalists: Satoshi Ishii, Matt Lindland and Naoya Ogawa. Overeem, meanwhile, has become one of the most accomplished heavyweights in combat sports history, capturing championships in Strikeforce and Dream while also winning the 2010 K-1 World Grand Prix. He has racked up 43 wins as a professional mixed martial artist, 38 of them resulting in finishes.
