In the shadows of the Stipe Miocic-Francis Ngannou and Daniel Cormier-Volkan Oezdemir title fights, two of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most violent and aggressive bantamweights are scheduled to lock horns. Almeida finds himself on the rebound following a unanimous decision loss to Jimmie Rivera at UFC on Fox 25 in July. However, the 26-year-old Brazilian carries with him one of MMA’s highest finish rates: He has delivered 20 of his 22 career victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission. A former CES MMA champion, Font last competed at UFC Fight Night 119 on Oct. 28, when he submitted to a Pedro Munhoz guillotine choke. The setback snapped a modest two-fight winning streak for the Team Sityodtong export.
