Dustin Poirier and Anthony Pettis put on a fight to remember in Virginia.

After two thrilling rounds, Poirier became just the second man to finish “Showtime” when Pettis’ was forced to tap after suffering a rib injury inside his opponent’s body triangle 2:08 into the third round of the UFC Fight Night 120 headliner on Saturday. The wins and finishes continue to accumulate for Poirier, who remains an interesting contender at 155 pounds.

15: UFC heavyweight triumphs for Andrei Arlovski, the second most in the history of the division behind only Frank Mir (16). The former champion halted a five-fight losing streak with a unanimous decision victory over Junior Albini.

92: Significant strikes landed by Arlovski, the most he has landed in 24 UFC appearances. “The Pit Bull” outlanded Albini by 44 significant strikes in the three-round affair.

10: Bantamweight triumphs in UFC competition for Raphael Assuncao following his third-round knockout of Matthew Lopez on Saturday. That ties him with Urijah Faber for the second most in the history of the division. Champ T.J. Dillashaw is No. 1 with 11 victories.

2,506: Days since Clay Guida’s Octagon finish, a second-round submission of Takanori Gomi at UFC 125 on Jan. 1, 2011. Guida defeated Joe Lauzon via technical knockout 1:07 into the opening round of their lightweight bout, the fastest finish of “The Carpenter’s” career.

50: Combined UFC appearances for Guida and Lauzon. Guida’s Octagon debut occurred on Oct. 14, 2006, while Lauzon’s came on Sept. 23, 2006.

2: Significant strikes by which Marlon Moraes outlanded John Dodson in a closely contested bantamweight bout. Moraes outlanded his foe 17 to 8 in round two, while Dodson held a 16-to-9 advantage in round three. Both fighters landed 19 significant strikes in round one. Moraes ultimately emerged with a split-decision triumph.

53: Significant ground strikes by which Tatiana Suarez outlanded Viviane Pereira in their 115-pound encounter. Suarez landed four takedowns and held a 144-to-69 edge in total strikes landed in a lopsided unanimous decision triumph.

13: Guard passes executed by Suarez, who dominated Pereira with her wrestling and grappling.

250: Combined significant strikes landed by Nina Ansaroff (143) and Angela Hill (107) in their strawweight clash. Ansaroff outlanded her foe 41 to 37 in round one, 52 to 37 in round two and 50 to 33 in round three en route to a unanimous decision triumph.

77: Significant strikes, of the 78 landed by Sean Strickland, that were to the head in his unanimous decision triumph over Court McGee. Strickland relied on his jab throughout the welterweight contest. McGee, meanwhile, landed 19 significant strikes to the head.

28: Significant leg strikes for McGee. Strickland did not land a single leg kick. McGee also had a 15-to-1 edge in significant strikes to the body.
