In a grueling five-round battle that took its toll on both main event participants, Dan Hooker did just enough to come out on top at UFC Auckland.

122: Significant strikes landed by Hooker, the most of his 14-bout
promotional tenure. By comparison, Felder landed 110 significant
strikes. Hooker outlanded his foe 24 to 16 in Round 1, 39 to 28 in
Round 3 and 18 to 15 in Round 5. Felder held a 25-to-15 edge in
Round 4, and both men landed 26 significant strikes in Round 2.
.550: Significant striking accuracy for Hooker, who landed 122 of 221 attempts. Felder, meanwhile, landed 110 of 230 significant strikes — a 47 percent success rate.
72: Significant head strikes landed by Hooker. Felder landed 64.
40: Significant leg strikes for Hooker. Felder landed 27.
19: Significant body strikes by Felder. Hooker connected with 10 body shots.
1: Takedown landed in five attempts for Hooker. Hooker put Felder on the canvas in the final frame, potentially sealing his victory in the eyes of two cageside judges.
11: Unofficial media scorecards, of the 16 tracked by MMADecisions.com, that saw the fight in favor of Felder. Four submitted scorecards for Hooker, while another had it as a draw.
8: Takedowns landed 10 attempts by Jim Crute in a little more than three minutes of action against Michal Oleksiejczuk in the light heavyweight co-main event. Crute spent most of the bout tossing his Polish foe around the Octagon before securing a kimura from side control at the 3:29 mark of Round 1.
5: Consecutive victories for Xiaonan Yan, tying her with Tatiana Suarez for the longest active winning streak in the strawweight division. Yan earned a dominant unanimous decision triumph against former title challenger Karolina Kowalkiewicz in a featured 115-pound contest. All of Yan’s victories have come via unanimous decision.
93: Significant strikes landed by Yan. By comparison, Kowalkiewicz landed just 38. The Chinese fighter outlanded her opponent 36 to 19 in Round 1, 39 to 14 in Round 2 and `18 to 5 in Round 3. Yan also was successful on five of her six takedown attempts.
8: Takedowns landed in 11 attempts by Magomed Mustafaev in a featured lightweight clash against Brad Riddell. Mustafaev had failed to land a single takedown in his first four UFC bouts. Nonetheless, Riddell rode superior striking to a split-decision triumph.

5: Media scorecards, of the 11 tracked by MMADecisions.com, that awarded the bout to Riddell. Four others saw that fight for Mustafaev, while two others scored it a draw.
1,535: Days since Zubaira Tukhugov’s last Octagon triumph, a split verdict over Phillipe Nover at UFC Fight Night 80 on Dec. 10, 2015. The 29-year-old Russian returned to the win column with a first-round TKO stoppage of Kevin Aguilar at featherweight in Auckland on Saturday.
43: Significant strikes by which Jalin Turner outlanded Josh Culibao en route to a TKO victory at the 3:01 mark of Round 2 of their preliminary lightweight bout.
9: Finishes among nine professional victories for Turner, including two in the UFC. Saturday marked the first time that one of Turner’s wins occurred past the opening stanza.
5-1: Record for Jake Matthews since moving from lightweight to welterweight. Matthews earned a unanimous verdict against Emil Meek in a preliminary contest.
50: Significant strikes landed by Meek. Matthews, meanwhile, landed 33. Meek did the majority of his damage in Round 3, when he outlanded his foe by a 33-to-14 count. Matthews, however, did land the only four takedowns of the fight.
5: Fights to go the distance in five UFC appearances for flyweight Kai Kara-France, who outpointed Tyson Nam in a preliminary contest on Saturday. “Don’t Blink” is 4-1 in those bouts.
78: Significant strikes landed by Kara-France. By comparison, Nam landed 50. Kara-France has landed more than 70 significant strikes in all but one of his UFC bouts.
6: Bouts in the past 337 days for Angela Hill, who outpointed Konklak Suphisara in a preliminary strawweight contest. Hill, who won for the second time in 28 days, is 4-2 during that stretch.
0:40: Time of Priscila Cachoeira’s first-round knockout victory over Shana Dobson in the evening’s opening preliminary bout. That’s the fastest finish in the history of the UFC women’s flyweight division.
