Al Iaquinta Vs Paul Felder
Featuring on the Main Card for UFC 223 is one of the most anticipated fights within the community in recent times between. Nothing short of a clash of the titans, both fighters have built – and sustained – reputations of being efficient, explosive and violent. Al Iaquinta is a well-rounded fighter, with only 3 losses under his belt compared to 13 wins. Felder will be entering the octagon off the back off a 3-fight winning streak. His brutal ground and pound, and ability to slog it out in the corner makes him a dangerous opponent. Will the luck of the Irish back the Irish Dragon? Vas thinks not, tagging Al Iaquinta as the likely winner for this round, but it will go to the wire.
Michael Chiesa Vs Anthony Pettis
Pettis is well known as the owner of The Showtime Kick, but the man has proven himself a serious threat on the ground, submitting Benson Henderson to take home the Lightweight title. That said, Chiesa isn’t afraid to be on his back, demonstrating a serious ability to submit his opponents. He’s tough where it counts, with Vas flagging this as a show stopper for Pettis, with Cheisa walking right through him.
Rose Namajunas Vs Joanna Jedrzejcyk
This fight is looking to be as close as they get. Namajunas enters with a respectable 71% submission rate, making her the wrong person to take down. That shouldn’t be too much of a problem for Jedrzejcyk, who has a reputation for slugging it out on her feed. Jedrzejcyk also learns from her loses, and is tagged by Vas as the winner for the round for her ability to not let the past repeat itself. That said, this one looks like it will to all the way to the final bell.
