Who You Got? Sherdog Staff Pick 'Em: UFC on ESPN 31
Welcome back to the Sherdog Staff Pick 'Em, where with just three
events — maybe four — left in the calendar year, we take our best
shots at UFC
on ESPN 31.
"UFC Vegas 44," the promotion's latest offering from its home base, the Apex in Las Vegas, is a strong 14-fight lineup topped by a possible bantamweight title eliminator between Rob Font and Jose Aldo. Beneath that, lightweights Brad Riddell and Rafael Fiziev are slated for a co-main event that promises the viewers a high-level striking battle — and promises the winner a step up the Top 10 of one of the most loaded divisions in the sport. From a pick 'em standpoint, the main oddity is the lopsided nature of the card, despite not being especially lopsided on the betting books. The main event is a dead tie, but aside from that, only one other fight on the entire card saw the underdog get more than 25% of the picks.
