11 Fights Signed for UFC Fight Night 25
American Top Team’s Ken Stone will
collide with Donny
Walker in a preliminary bantamweight matchup at UFC Fight
Night 25 on Sept. 17 at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center
in New Orleans. Eleven fights are now official for the event, which
will air live on Spike TV.
Stone (9-3, 0-1 UFC) last fought at “The Ultimate Fighter 13” Finale in June, when he suffered a ground-and-pound-induced knockout against the world-ranked Scott Jorgensen at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. The 28-year-old former American Fighting Organization champion wrestled collegiately at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. Stone (Pictured, file photo) has delivered all nine of his professional victories by knockout, technical knockout or submission.
Walker (15-7, 0-1 UFC) made his promotional debut at UFC
132 in July, when he lost a unanimous decision to fellow
Octagon rookie Jeff
Hougland at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The defeat
snapped his seven-fight winning streak. Walker, 31, owns notable
wins against current
Bellator Fighting Championships featherweight Kenny
Foster and Strikeforce
veteran Billy
Vaughan. He has not lost consecutive fights in nearly three
years.
A key welterweight showdown between former title contender Jake Shields and the surging Jake Ellenberger will headline UFC Fight Night 25, along with a middleweight matchup pairing “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 11 winner Court McGee with Dongi Yang. The event will also feature a featherweight battle matching “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 12 winner Jonathan Brookins with Erik Koch and a middleweight tilt pitting Alan Belcher against Jason MacDonald.
