Bellator 121 Weigh-ins: James Thompson, Eric Prindle Cleared for Heavyweight Clash

Eric Prindle and James Thompson will do battle as expected to open Bellator’s Summer Series, as both heavyweights were cleared to compete at Thursday’s Bellator 121 weigh-in.

Prindle checked in at 264.8 pounds, while Thompson tipped the scales at 260.3 ahead of their heavyweight feature fight. Bellator 121 takes place Friday night at the WinStar World Casino in Thackerville, Okla., and will also see the promotional debut of Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou (204.8), when he collides with Terry Davinney (205.8) in a light heavyweight tilt.

The Spike TV bill will also feature the light heavyweight tournament opening round, as Luiz Philipe Lins (205.7) meets James Austin Heidlage (205.7), while as well as Carlos Eduardo (205.2) battles Egidijus Valavicius (203.6).

On the preliminary portion of the card, Bubba McDaniel (189.8) makes his first appearance since being cut from Ultimate Fighting Championship when he takes on Matt Jones (188.4).
