Former featherweight king Pat Curran will lock horns with Justin Lawrence in a main card bout at Bellator 145, a promotion official informed Sherdog.com on Thursday.
Bellator 145 “Vengeance,” the California based promotion’s latest tent-pole event, takes place on Nov. 6 at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis and is headlined by a featherweight championship rematch between Patricio Freire and Daniel Straus. The card also includes a 155-pound title tilt pitting Will Brooks against Marcin Held. The event will be televised on Spike TV beginning at 9 p.m. ET/8 p.m. CT.
Curran ended a two-fight skid at Bellator 139, where he captured a unanimous verdict over Emmanuel Sanchez. “Paddy Mike” is a two-time 145-pound titlist; he most recently relinquished the strap in a five-round unanimous decision defeat to Freire at Bellator 123.
A three-time UFC veteran and former Resurrection Fighting Alliance ruler, Lawrence enters the matchup on a four-fight winning streak. He made his promotional debut at Bellator 138, where he stopped Sean Wilson via first-round technical knockout.
