LFA 1 Weigh-in Results: Steven Peterson, Leandro Higo On Point

By Mike Sloan Jan 12, 2017
Legacy Fighting Alliance is finally set for its maiden show as the new promotion that was birthed out of the merger of Legacy Fighting Championship and the Resurrection Fighting Alliance will thrill mixed martial arts fans Friday night. LFA 1 is headlined by the bantamweight championship between Steven Peterson and Leandro “Pitbull” Higo.

Peterson, who is the last-ever 135-pound champ in Legacy FC history, will look to add the inaugural LFA belt to his resume when he takes on Higo. “Ocho” tipped the scale at 134.75 pounds at Thursday’s weigh-ins and looked as solid as ever. Higo, meanwhile, wasn’t about to be outdone. The finale RFA bantam king checked in officially at 134.75 pounds as well, giving their title tilt the green light while the two champs posed, shouted and got in each other’s faces while posing for photos.

The action goes down live from inside the Bomb Factory in downtown Dallas, Texas. The main card will be televised live on AXS TV beginning at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
