The matchup was initially confirmed by BILD.de. The card is expected to take place at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas and is headlined by a heavyweight duel between Derrick Lewis and Alexey Oleynik.
Anchored at Tristar Gym, Haqparast emerged as a prospect of note following successive victories over Marc Diakiese, Thibault Gouti and Joaquim Silva. The 24-year-old Afghanistan native ran into trouble in his most recent appearance, falling to Drew Dober via first-round knockout at UFC 246 to fall to 11-3 in his professional tenure.
A wrestling coach at Team Alpha Male, Munoz was expected to make his Octagon debut against Luis Pena on Feb. 29 but had to withdraw due to injury. The 30-year-old is 6-0 in his MMA career, including a decision triumph over Nick Newell on Season 2 of Dana White’s Contender Series.
