M-1 Global, Russia’s biggest mixed martial arts promotion, is set to delight fight fans in China on Thursday with a solid night of combat headlined by two legendary veterans of the sport. M-1 Challenge 80 will take place in Harbin, China, with longtime Pride Fighting Championships veterans Sergei Kharitonov and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou set to collide in the main event.

Both men weighed in on Wednesday while the heavyweights don’t necessarily need to cut weight, the two vets looked solid on the scale. Sokoudjou was up first and tipped the scale at a cool 230 pounds. “The Paratrooper” was up next and came in three dozen pounds heavier; Kharitonov weighed 266.5 pounds.

The M-1 Challenge featherweight title is up for grabs in the co-feature as champion Ivan Buchinger will defend against Timur Nagibin. Both men came in identically at 144 pounds.

M-1 Challenge 80 will be streamed live on www.m1global.tv beginning at 12 p.m. ET/9 a.m. PT.
