The 32-year-old will look to add to the tally Friday at One Championship 27 “Warrior’s Quest,” where he’ll face Koji Ando with his strap on the line.
“I have respect for Koji Ando, especially since he is my fellow countryman,” said Aoki at Thursday’s weigh-ins. “He has a good ground game and he strikes pretty decently as well. However, I have been training really hard on all areas of my game. I’m ready for Ando come fight night.”
One Championship 27 goes down Friday at Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, and can be viewed in North America and around the world via Internet pay-per-view for $9.99 U.S.
