Paul Redmond to Face Rob Sinclair in BAMMA 30 Main Event in Dublin on July 7

The British Association of Mixed Martial Arts announced that it will return to Dublin, Ireland, on July 7, and a pair of lightweight showdowns have been revealed.

Headlining BAMMA 30 will be Paul Redmond taking on promotional fan favorite Rob Sinclair. 3Arena will serve as the host venue, though no specifics on an American broadcast or live stream have been revealed.

Redmond is coming off a loss to Norman Parke at BAMMA 28 in February and hopes to get back on track against his English foe. The Irishman has fallen on hard times inside the cage as of late, having dropped three of his last four, including back-to-back losses inside the UFC’s Octagon. He knows a win over Chris Stringer at BAMMA 26 last year wasn’t good enough and he’s eager to get things going in the right direction.

“I can't wait to get back in there after my last performance,” Redmond said. “Especially with the atmosphere that will be in the 3Arena, it’s going to be great.”

Sinclair, meanwhile, had won five in a row, four by knockout, but he similarly has hit a stumbling block. “C4” was edged by Saad Awad via decision at Bellator 136 in April 2015, came back to TKO Michael Brightmon at BAMMA 21, but lost on points to Charlie Leary at FCC 17 last September. Like his July foe, he is amped to get back in the cage and right the ship.

“The story isn’t over. I have unfinished business in BAMMA,” Sinclair said. “I have one objective; to put myself back at the top in BAMMA, back where I belong and that starts with Paul Redmond.”

BAMMA 30 will also see fellow 155-pounders Philip Mulpeter and Myles Price going at it in one of the chief support bouts. Additional matchups for the event will be announced in the coming weeks.
