Earlier this week it was reported that Ultimate Fighting Championship Hall of Famer Stephan Bonnar was arrested by police on suspicion of driving under the influence and resisting arrest over the weekend in Nevada.
Bonnar, who is best known for his epic 2005 fight with Forrest Griffin in “The Ultimate Fighter” Season 1 Light Heavyweight tournament final, was apprehended by other drivers at the time who used their vehicles to surround the former fighter’s Cadillac CTS and prevent him from moving until police arrived at the scene.
The footage, from the body camera of an arresting officer, shows the disturbing condition “The American Psycho” was in at the time.
Bonnar, 41, last competed in 2014, losing a split decision to Tito Ortiz under the banner of Bellator MMA. He reportedly has a history of driving under the influence, having been arrested for the same offense in 2015 and 2016. It was also reported that police seized a firearm believed to be an AR-15 rifle as well as an empty bottle of vodka and a pill bottle for the pain reliever Celecoxib.
Bonnar is due back in Las Vegas Justice Court on Nov. 26.
