Founded in 2012, the WSOF has already held shows in Las Vegas, New Jersey and Florida. The organization launched a Canadian branch last year and made its debut north of the U.S. border in December with WSOF 7.
The promotion will hold its next event on March 23, when WSOF 9 is broadcast live on the NBC Sports Network from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The evening’s main event will see Steve Carl defend his welterweight title against UFC veteran Rousimar Palhares, while Marlon Moraes clashes with Josh Rettinghouse over the inaugural bantamweight belt.
