The Nevada Athletic Commission revealed during a Thursday meeting that veteran referee John McCarthy will be the third man in the Octagon when Lawler defends the welterweight strap against “The Natural Born Killer.” Meanwhile, Derek Cleary, Chris Lee and Tony Weeks will serve as judges for the evening’s main event.

UFC 195 takes place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Jan. 2 and will also see Andrei Arlovski take on Stipe Miocic in the co-main event. The evening’s main card airs on pay-per-view.

McCarthy was last in action at UFC 194, where he oversaw the featherweight headliner between Conor McGregor and Jose Aldo. In 2015, Cleary has worked 15 UFC events, Lee 13 and Weeks eight.
