The Ultimate Fighting Championship's return to Boston has taken a huge hit, losing one member of the co-main event.

Magomedsharipov has beaten his last 13 opponents, including 10 by stoppage. In his most recent outing, he topped Jeremy Stephens by decision at UFC 235 in March. A contender for the Sherdog.com 2018 Submission of the Year award, the Russian tapped Brandon Davis with a rarely seen "Suloev Stretch" modified kneebar last September.
Kattar has toppled his last two foes with first-round knockouts just after four minutes each, dispatching Ricardo Lamas at UFC 238 in June and finishing Chris Fishgold at UFC Fight Night 138 in October. The former lightweight from Massachusetts has amassed a record of 17-1 when competing in New England, with that lone loss to Don Carlo-Clauss by split verdict in 2010.
UFC on ESPN 6 will take place on Oct. 18 at the TD Garden in Boston. Headlining the event is a light heavyweight tilt between Chris Weidman and Dominick Reyes.
