Wednesday's second episode of “The Ultimate Fighter 13” earned an average audience of 1.2 million viewers. Episode 1, which aired the previous Wednesday, netted 1.5 million viewers.
Episode 2 held fast in the household rating category, again earning a 1.0. The highly-coveted male 18-34 and 18-49 demographics earned ratings of 1.4 and 1.13, respectively.
The episode featured one fighter hit the proverbial showers, as Keon Caldwell decided that the bright lights of reality television were not for him. After Caldwell departed the show, Junior dos Santos’ team regained control from the victory in the season premiere and decided to pit Javier Torres against Team Brock Lesnar's Chris Cope.
After two hard-fought rounds, the judges called the welterweight contest a draw, resulting in a sudden-victory round. Though the final period was highly competitive, it was Cope who won, drawing cheers from his teammates and evening the team score at 1-1.
