“Cast is off 100 [percent]!!! Let’s freaking go!!!” VanZant wrote. “Training is in full effect (in my garage with my husband). First things first, let’s heal the world, after that I’m coming to fight.”
VanZant underwent a third surgery on her arm on her arm last year. She initially broke her arm in a decision loss to Jessica-Rose Clark at UFC Fight Night 124 in January 2018. The “Dancing with the Stars” runner-up returned to action at UFC Fight Night 143 in January 2019 and re-aggravated the injury in a decision triumph against Rachael Ostovich.
The 25-year-old is currently on the last fight of her UFC deal and is expected to test the free-agent market once she fulfills her contract. Her husband, Austin Vanderford, currently competes under the Bellator MMA banner. VanZant is 5-3 in the Octagon and 8-4 as a professional overall.
