Update: 5 Prelims from UFC 131 to Stream Live Online

As has become customary for recent events, the
Ultimate Fighting Championship will stream live preliminary
bouts online from Saturday’s UFC
131.
Sherdog.com reported Tuesday morning that the promotion would stream the fights exclusively on video-sharing website YouTube. However, an afternoon tweet from the UFC’s Twitter account stated that social networking site Facebook will host the June 11 undercard stream as usual.
The UFC’s official YouTube channel still displays a page set up to stream the bouts Saturday, suggesting that both sites will carry the fights simultaneously.
Five preliminary contests are scheduled to stream online, immediately preceding the Spike TV “UFC Prelims Live” special which leads into the event’s pay-per-view broadcast. The stream will see Nick Ring take on James Head in a middleweight affair, while Dustin Poirier toes the line against Jason Young at featherweight. Also scheduled at 145 pounds is a battle between Michihiro Omigawa and Darren Elkins. Additionally, Joey Beltran will face Aaron Rosa at heavyweight, while Krzysztof Soszynski locks horns with late replacement Mike Massenzio at 205 pounds.
Headlined by a crucial heavyweight clash between Junior dos Santos and Shane Carwin, UFC 131 will emanate from Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
