Video: Ex-UFC Champ Conor McGregor Punches Man in Spanish Nightclub

Conor McGregor continues to make headlines for just about anything other than competing in a sanctioned mixed martial arts bout.

In video footage obtained by British tabloid The Sun, McGregor appears to land two punches on a man while partying at the Pacha nightclub in Ibiza, Spain. The Irish star is seen speaking to the man from an elevated position on the club’s dance floor. Shortly thereafter, McGregor strikes the man twice, with the second blow apparently sending the individual to the ground.

The man who was punched was escorted out of the club, while McGregor continued to party, according to the report.

“Clearly something’s been said to annoy him and he’s reacted very badly,” an unnamed witness told The Sun. “The guy seemed to fall to the floor, and his mates came to pick him up and get him away. There [didn't appear to be any] consequences for Conor, but the guy he punched was taken away and I didn’t see him again.”

The incident reportedly occurred at 5:53 a.m. local time on Tuesday morning.

Another witness shared a similar account of the altercation.

"Someone came up to them and when Conor hit him, about five people fell to the floor as the guy stumbled back,” the person told The Sun. “It was a bit like bowling pins, but the guy was really shaken by the hits. About a minute later, the bouncers came and got him on the back and took him out of the club, because he had annoyed Conor. It was right before close anyway. There was no messing around, they just removed him.

"Conor left through the garden a bit later, he didn't look very happy  that they got into a fight.”

McGregor hasn’t fought since July 2021, when he suffered a broken leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 last June but pulled out during the week of the fight due to a broken toe. More recently, UFC CEO Dana White stated that the former UFC two-division champion won't be making an Octagon return anytime soon.
