ANDREA LEE SET TO MAKE HER V3FIGHTS’ DEBUT ON MARCH 8
Feb 24, 2014 Comments
(PRESS RELEASE) -- On March 8, the ‘Legion’ is in for a treat when
Lee enters the V3 cage for the first time with one of the most
impressive resumes in all of amateur MMA. She is a state and
national Golden Gloves champion, a highly decorated blue belt that
won NAGA nationals and a NAGA world championship, a judo purple
belt, a Kyokushin brown belt, and is the #1 ranked Muay Thai
featherweight in the world by the IKF. She is also being considered
for the US national kickboxing team that competes in Puerto Rico
and Toronto later this year.
On March 8, Lee will have her hands full when she takes on former bantamweight champion, Jamie Milanowski, who has a pretty solid resume herself. Lee had a lot to say about this upcoming fight with the former champ:
“I am so stoked about this fight with Jamie. We have reached out to
her a couple of times to fight me. That never worked out, so when
Chan (V3’s matchmaker) hit us up to fight her, I was really stoked.
Jamie is a really solid fighter. I have nothing bad to say about
her, it’s just that other than Amberlynn (Orr), she has never faced
anyone on my level. She’s good, don’t get me wrong, we bought the
pay per view between her and Amberlynn, expecting to eventually
fight the winner. What I saw that night is what I see when I watch
her other fights. She is overwhelmingly strong with her opponents.
She is not however, as strong as me. I was a little offended when
you asked me if her Golden Gloves background worried me. Jamie is a
state Golden Gloves champion. Good for her. I beat Golden Gloves
champions from all over the United States to win a title. As far as
her wrestling, I actually competed against a division one college
All-American that all of the other girls were petrified of. Not
only did I stop her takedowns, I took her down and outwrestled her
and ended up submitting her in under two minutes. So to be honest,
I feel I have the advantage everywhere. I have an answer for
anything she wants to try. I’m sure Jamie feels the same about
herself. She is a confident fighter and with good cause. Two
confident fighters always makes the best fights. Don’t be fooled by
my losses. I’m one of the best 125 fighters in the country. So is
she. Now we get to find out who moves on and who goes back to the
drawing board.”
