(PRESS RELEASE) -- The long-awaited rematch between Mamed
Khalidov and Ryuta
Sakurai is a fact! KSW Federation thanks to the cooperation
with KAS Management owner Alan Kermorvan contracted the Japanese
warrior for the second clash against Khalidov, which will headline
December 7th KSW25 show in Wrocław.
Both fighters met in the ring back in 2010. After the three-round battle with a three-minute overtime the judges declared the fight a draw. – The first fight left me with bad taste, as I think I should be awarded the victory – Sakurai told at the special meeting with the members of the press. – Neither me, nor Sakurai is satisfied with the verdict in the first fight. We both feel our rivalry has not ended. This time I won’t be hunting for submissions and I’ll try to knock him out – Khalidov said.
The second encounter scheduled for KSW’s last show of the year was signed for three five-minute rounds in the -84 kilograms weight limit. The last remaining tickets for the show are available
