LIVE INVICTA FC CARD KICKS-OFF BIGGEST MONTH YET ON UFCFIGHTPASS.com

(PRESS RELEASE) -- The stacked September of exclusively live fights on UFCFIGHTPASS.com begins this Saturday, with the inaugural Invicta FC event live and on-demand from Kansas City.

The Invicta FC 8 event is headlined by Invicta atomweight champion Michelle Waterson defending her title against Japanese challenger Yasuko Tamada, while the fight for the vacant strawweight belt between Stephanie Eggink and Katja Kankaanpaa co-mains the 10-fight card.

To celebrate the first non-UFC event being streamed live on UFC FIGHT PASS, the UFC has made two UFC FIGHT PASS original programs available on YouTube for embedding purposes.

First, Invicta 105lbs champ Waterson sits down with Megan Olivi and answers some “Rapid Fire” questions:

then “The Karate Hottie” gives a first-person narrative on why she’s even a MMA fighter at all in “Why I Fight”:

And the inaugural live Invicta event this weekend is just the start of the biggest month yet for the UFC’s digital streaming service. On September 13, the UFC FIGHT PASS cameras are in Brasilia, Brazil, for the big rematch between former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski and former No.1 contender Antonio “Bigfoot” Silva.

Then, one week later, on September 20, UFC FIGHT PASS will feature a third exclusively live event in as many weeks when the UFC Octagon lands in Japan, for a loaded card featuring Mark Hunt vs Roy Nelson, Myles Jury vs the legendary Takanori Gomi, former women’s champ Miesha Tate vs unbeaten newcomer Rin Nakai and Yoshihiro Akiyama vs Amir Sadollah.

Finally, UFC FIGHT PASS will be the only place to see the opening prelims of UFC 178 on September 27, where Manny Gamburyan collides with Cody Gibson and Jon Tuck takes on Kevin Lee.

UFC FIGHT PASS is available now at UFCFIGHTPASS.com on personal computers, iPad, iPhone, Chromecast, Android, Samsung, LG Smart TV and Roku. Subscriptions are $9.99 month to month, $8.99 per month for six months or $7.99 per month for a one-year subscription.
