XFCi 2: Brazilian Females Aline Serio and Kalindra Faria Co-Main March 15th Event
Mar 14, 2014 Comments
(PRESS RELEASE) -- On March 15th, two of Brazil’s most fierce
female competitors climb into the cage at XFCi 2, when Rio de
Janeiro’s Aline Serio
and Sao Paulo’s Kalindra
Faria co-main event the promotion’s second Latin American show.
Fireworks are sure to explode when these two heavy-handed fighters
let the leather fly in this Strawweight showdown.
Coming in on a three fight win streak, Aline Serio (7-4) hopes to ride the momentum she has gained over the past year into XFCi 2, and turn it into a career defining victory over Kalindra Faria. The scrappy fighter from Rio holds a 71% finish rate, which includes four knockouts; all in the opening round. Three of her four defeats have been judge’s decisions, while her lone stoppage came from the hands of MMA veteran, Carina Damm.
27-year-old Kalindra Faria (12-3-1) hasn’t lost a fight since March of 2011. Boasting an eight fight win streak of her own, Faria has stopped her last five opponents with three submissions and two TKO’s. Faria’s most high-profile win came in July of 2013 against common opponent Carina Damm. She submitted Damm in the 1st round with an armbar.
