Meanwhile, Patrick Mix made a convincing case to be considered among the top bantamweights in the world with a second-round submission of Sergio Pettis in the Bellator 301 co-headliner. With the win, “Patchy” unifies the Bellator bantamweight title, extends his winning streak to six and climbs to No. 4 in the latest 135-pound poll.
In the UFC’s last event before its Thanksgiving break, Brendan Allen made a statement with a third-round submission of Paul Craig in the UFC Fight Night 233 headliner. That makes five straight wins at 185 pounds for “All In,” who rejoins the middleweight bubble at No. 12.
Elsewhere, Amanda Ribas celebrated a return to 115 pounds by rallying for a third-round technical knockout against former roommate Luana Pinheiro. That allows the bubbly Brazilian to take over the No. 14 spot in the strawweight rankings. Finally, Ailinn Perez took a three-round verdict over Lucie Pudilova at bantamweight, allowing her to make her debut on the bubble at No. 12, one spot ahead of her vanquished foe.
