Sherdog Official Mixed Martial Arts Rankings

Introduction

UFC 100 may not have radically altered MMA's divisional pecking order, but it certainly showed us the lay of the land.

Though his post-fight theatrics have drawn the ire of many, Brock Lesnar's second-round pummeling of Frank Mir entrenched him atop the UFC's heavyweight division and gave him yet another stoppage over top-10 opposition. With only five fights to his credit, many are wondering who among the UFC's heavyweights can contend with the former pro-wrestling star.

Welterweight king Georges St. Pierre was dominant as well in pitching a complete shutout over another elite challenger in Thiago Alves. St. Pierre's clinical, one-sided performance has also led to questions about whether he should be eyeing prizes beyond the welterweight division.

Dan Henderson turned in his most impressive win since crushing Wanderlei Silva to take Pride's 205-pound crown in February 2007. However, even with a brutal knockout of Michael Bisping -- and the accompanying $100K "Knockout of the Night" bonus -- Henderson's chances for a second crack at Anderson Silva largely depend on the forthcoming bout between fellow contenders Demian Maia and Nate Marquardt.
