Eddie Ramirez vs. Erick Bone Anchors PBC on FS1 Card June 20

Unbeaten junior welterweight prospect Eddie Ramirez is set to improve his level of competition when he collides with Erick Bone in a scheduled 10-round main event of the PBC on FS1’s “Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays” card on June 20. The action will be televised live from Sam’s Town Live in Las Vegas and will be televised simultaneously on Fox Deportes beginning at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT.

Ramirez (16-0, 11 KOs) has looked solid since turning pro after a terrific amateur career that saw him win the Chicago Golden Gloves championship. He’s already beaten longtime veteran and former world champion Cristobal Cruz. He’s coming off a February win over Ryan Karl and knows his next test should not be easy.

“My opponent has been in the ring with top guys like Shawn Porter and Chris Algieri, who are world champions, and despite losing in those matchups he gained experience fighting with top caliber opponents but I am ready,” said Ramirez. “I am explosive and entertaining so I know this will be a great fight and my only job is to get him out of the ring as fast as possible.”

Bone (16-4, 8 KOs) exploded onto the scene when he came swinging out of his native Nicaragua. After winning 16 of his first 17 bouts, he was knocked down a few pegs by former world champions Porter, Algieri and Miguel Vazquez. Though he came up short against those three, Bone believes his experience in fighting elite opposition will give him the advantage.

“I'm super thankful for this opportunity, I've been in the ring with some really great guys so coming into this fight I have a leg up,” said Bone. “My opponent is the underdog and I don't think he's been in the ring with a fighter like me. I'm just ready to get in there and show my skills.”

Opening up the FS1 broadcast will be a 10-round junior welterweight battle between Dennis Galarza (15-2, 9 KOs) and Omar Tienda (18-4, 11 KOs). An eight-round featherweight title between Xavier Martinez (7-0, 4 KOs) and Prince Smalls (11-0-1, 4 KOs) is also slated for the bill.
