The “Blessed Era” started on Sept. 11, 2010, when Max Holloway made his professional mixed martial arts debut at X-1 Heroes in his home of Honolulu, Hawaii.
Holloway won his debut fight by decision, beating Duke Saragosa and setting himself off down a path that would lead to him capturing the UFC featherweight title and even challenging for the interim lightweight crown. Since his debut on this date nearly a decade ago, Holloway has beaten the likes of Jose Aldo, Anthony Pettis, Frankie Edgar and Brian Ortega.
The Hawaiian has become a fan favorite over the course of his career, which started nine years ago to the day.
