Keenly familiar with one another, Souza and Brunson will collide for a second time when they square off in a UFC on Fox headliner at the Spectrum Center. The two middleweights originally met under the Strikeforce banner in August 2012, when Brunson was the victim of a 41-second knockout. A two-time Abu Dhabi Combat Club Submission Wrestling World Championships gold medalist, Souza has won 10 of his last 12 fights -- Robert Whittaker and Yoel Romero were the only two men to defeat him -- and emerged as one of the sport’s premier middleweights. Brunson enters their rematch on the heels of back-to-back knockouts of Daniel Kelly and Lyoto Machida. A win over Souza could conceivably launch him into title contention at 185 pounds.
