By The Numbers: Chris Wade
Chris Wade is on a quest to capture the Professional Fighters League championship after falling short last year. Wade pocketed three precious points in his first regular season assignment of 2022, but needs another win, preferably a finish, to secure a place in the playoffs. The Long Island MMA standout will take on fellow Ultimate Fighting Championship alum Kyle Bochniak this Friday at PFL 5.

A Statistical Look at Chris Wade
7: Wins under the PFL banner. Wade is one of the PFL originals who competed since the 2018 season. The list of his victories includes Nate Andrews, Akhmed Aliev, Anthony Dizy, Arman Ospanov, Bubba Jenkins and two-time PFL champion Lance Palmer. Only Loik Radzhabov and Movlid Khaybulaev defeated Wade in the PFL.
3868: Days as a professional. Wade made his professional debut on Nov. 18, 2011, when he locked horns with Vinicius Agudo at ROC 38. On that occasion, he upended his adversary on all scorecards.
11: Times he competed in Atlantic City, New Jersey. The East Coast
city bodes particularly well to Wade, who accumulated a 10-1 record
while fighting in Atlantic City. That is also where he captured and
defended the Ring of Combat 155-pound championship. The only man to
defeat Wade in Atlantic City was Ozzy
Dugulubgov.
5: UFC victories. Wade made his promotional debuted on Aug. 30, 2014, when he choked out Cain Carrizosa at UFC 177. He competed in the Nevada-based promotion for three more years, accumulating a 5-2 record. Following his victory over Frankie Perez at UFC on Fox 25, he tested free agency and signed with the PFL.
59: Seconds for his quickest victory. On Sept. 14, 2012, “The Long Island Killer” imposed his will on Alfred Walker at ROC 42 as he forced his opponent to tap to a nasty guillotine choke. Wade recorded three more first-round finishes, including a 72-second technical submission in his UFC debut. All his first-round finishes have come via submission.
22: Fights that went the distance. “The Long Island Killer” stopped his foes only seven times in his 29 career outings, a 29% finishing rate.
1: Knockout on his record. The only stoppage Wade has recorded so far with strikes was a powerful head kick-punches combination that put away Ospanov in June 2021. The official time indicated the 2:18 mark of Round 2.
0: Defeats by stoppage. Wade suffered seven losses in his career, but all were by decision. Dugulubgov, Rustam Khabilov, Islam Makhachev, Natan Schulte, Radzhabov and Khaybulaev fell short of stopping Wade inside the distance.
352: Cumulative victories for his opponents. In turn, Wade’s past foes lost 122 times and drew 11 matches. Their winning percentage sits at .742. Among his opponents, Khaybulaev features the highest percentage of victory with an unblemished 19-0-1 record.
3: Weight classes in which he has competed. Wade made his pro debut in a 170-pound fight, spent most of his career at lightweight, and recently moved down to the featherweight division. He also competed in a 160-pound catchweight, the only one of his career.
