Dustin Poirier and Conor McGregor are the central figures in one of the Ultimate Fighting Championship’s most lucrative rivalries, and they will complete their blockbuster trilogy when they meet for a third time in the UFC 264 main event on Saturday at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Each man holds a decisive victory over the other. McGregor put away “The Diamond” with punches in the first round of their UFC 178 pairing on Sept. 17, 2014, while Poirier returned the favor when he cut down the “Notorious” Irishman with punches in the second round of their UFC 257 rematch on Jan. 23, 2021. Their third encounter figures to settle the score, all while filling the promotional coffers.

As Poirier and McGregor pore over the final details of their latest confrontation, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:

32: Years of age for Poirier, who was born in Lafayette, Louisiana, on Jan. 19, 1989. “Rain Man” was the No. 1 movie at the domestic box office and Phil Collins’ “Two Hearts” was the No. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100 list at the time.

7: Poirier wins by submission, accounting for 26% of his career total (27). His methods of choice: three armbars, two brabo chokes, one triangle armbar and one body triangle. Poirier owns 13 other wins by knockout or technical knockout and seven more by decision.

1,491: Significant strikes landed by Poirier since he joined the UFC roster in 2011, placing him seventh on the organization’s all-time list. Only Max Holloway (2,618), Donald Cerrone (1,727), Joanna Jedrzejczyk (1,711), Frankie Edgar (1,705), Michael Bisping (1,567) and Rafael dos Anjos (1,493) have connected with more.

131: Combined victories between the six men—McGregor, Khabib Nurmagomedov, Michael Johnson, Cub Swanson, Chan Sung Jung and Danny Castillo—who have beaten Poirier. They hold a cumulative record of 131-50 (.724).

12: Post-fight bonuses banked by Poirier across his 25 appearances in the UFC. He has been awarded “Fight of the Night” on seven occasions, “Performance of the Night” four times and “Submission of the Night” once, resulting in $605,000 of additional income.

32: Years of age for McGregor, who was born on July 14, 1988 in Crumlin, Ireland—4,941 miles from Ultimate Fighting Championship headquarters.

19: McGregor victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 86% of his career total (22). His list of UFC victims: Poirier, Cerrone, Eddie Alvarez, Jose Aldo, Chad Mendes, Dennis Siver, Diego Brandao and Marcus Brimage. McGregor owns one other victory by submission and two more by decision.

1.81: Knockdowns landed by McGregor per 15 minutes of UFC competition. It ranks as the fifth-highest rate in the promotion’s history, trailing only Drew McFedries (4.27), Todd Duffee (2.91), Shane Carwin (2.03) and Johnny Walker (1.99).

.723: Cumulative winning percentage between the five men—Poirier, Nurmagomedov, Nate Diaz, Joseph Duffy and Artemij Sitenkov—who have defeated McGregor. They sport a combined record of 107-41.

4: Simultaneous two-division titleholders, including McGregor, in UFC history. The others: Daniel Cormier, Amanda Nunes and Henry Cejudo.
