By The Numbers: Karolina Kowalkiewicz vs. Vanessa Demopoulos

Perhaps the window for Karolina Kowalkiewicz was not entirely shut.

A mainstay of the Ultimate Fighting Championship women’s strawweight division for seven-plus years, the former KSW titleholder will look to continue an unexpected late-career resurgence when she faces Vanessa Demopoulos in the featured UFC Fight Night 223 prelim on Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Kowalkiewicz enters the Octagon on the strength of back-to-back wins. She last competed at UFC 281, where she took a unanimous decision from Silvana Gomez Juarez in their three-round encounter on Nov. 12. Demopoulos, meanwhile, has rattled off three straight victories. She last appeared on Nov. 19, when she outpointed Maria Oliveira to a unanimous verdict at UFC Fight Night 215.

As Kowalkiewicz and Demopoulos march toward their forthcoming battle at 115 pounds, a look at some of the numbers that have accompanied them to this point:
