By The Numbers: Sean Strickland vs. Abusupiyan Magomedov

One look at Abusupiyan Magomedov was enough for Ultimate Fighting Championship matchmakers to give him a crack at the middleweight elite.

The UFD Gym representative will attempt to move to 2-0 inside the Octagon when he confronts Sean Strickland in the UFC on ESPN 48 headliner this Saturday at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas. Magomedov steps into the cage on the strength of a three-fight winning streak. He made his promotional debut at UFC Fight Night 209, where he needed just 19 seconds to sweep away Dustin Stoltzfus with a front kick and follow-up punches on Sept. 3. Strickland, meanwhile, has rattled off seven wins in nine outings. He last competed on Jan. 14, when he laid claim to a five-round unanimous decision over Nassourdine Imavov at UFC Fight Night 217.
