Dricus Du Plessis will put his undisputed Ultimate Fighting Championship middleweight crown on the line for the first time when he toes the line against two-time titleholder Israel Adesanya in the hotly anticipated UFC 305 headliner on Saturday at RAC Arena in Perth, Australia. Meanwhile, Steve Erceg looks to rebound from his first loss in more than six years when he battles City Kickboxing’s Kai Kara-France in the three-round flyweight co-main event at 125 pounds.

As UFC 305 “Du Plessis vs. Adesanya” approaches, a look at some of the numbers the fighters on the docket bring to the table:

16: Takedowns secured by Du Plessis across his seven appearances in the UFC. He has done so on 31 attempts, giving him a 52% success rate.

1,070: Significant strikes landed by Adesanya as a UFC middleweight, placing him fourth on the promotion’s all-time list at 185 pounds. Only Michael Bisping (1,384), Sean Strickland (1,337) and Robert Whittaker (1,098) have connected with more.

1,741: Days spent by Gamrot as a Konfrontacja Sztuk Walki champion. He held the Polish company’s lightweight title from May 27, 2016 to Sept. 17, 2020 and its featherweight strap from Dec. 1, 2018 to May 17, 2019.

20: Seconds needed for Tai Tuivasa to bury Simon Osborne with punches at an Elite Cage Championships show on July 6, 2012. More than a decade later, it remains his quickest stoppage to date. Tuivasa takes on Jairzinho Rozenstruik in a three-round heavyweight attraction.

36: Rounds started by Rozenstruik in his 19-fight career. The American Top Team rep has gone the distance on three occasions and carries a 1-2 record in those bouts.

14: Carlos Prates victories by knockout or technical knockout, accounting for 74% of his career total. His list of UFC victims: Trevin Giles and Charlie Radtke. Prates confronts Jingliang Li in a three-round welterweight appetizer.

9: Countries in which Li has competed as a professional mixed martial artist. He has gone 10-2 in his native China, 4-2 in the United States, 2-0 in Singapore, 1-1 in the United Arab Emirates, 1-0 in Malaysia, 1-0 in the Philippines, 0-1 in Canada, 0-1 in Japan and 0-1 in Australia.

24: Years of age for Luana Santos. The youngest fighter on the card, she was born on April 16, 2000 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. Santos faces Casey O'Neill in a three-round women’s flyweight prelim.

37: Years of age for Alex Reyes. The oldest fighter on the card, he was born in Hollywood, California, on Oct. 2, 1986. Reyes meets Tom Nolan in a three-round lightweight prelim.

.773: Cumulative winning percentage between the 24 mixed martial artists slated to compete at the event. They sport a combined record of 358-104-3. Adesanya, Kara-France and Gamrot are tied for the most wins (24) by anyone on the card, while Hooker has been saddled with the most losses (12).
