No. 2-ranked Jessica Andrade could have insisted on a title shot for her next fight. Instead, she accepted a dangerous matchup with Karolina Kowalkiewicz, and their possible title eliminator is happening this weekend at UFC 228 in Dallas. Expect “Bate Estaca” to capitalize on her power advantage as she has done successfully since dropping to 115. As fight day approaches, here are the numbers that have come to define the tough Brazilian.

6: Years as a professional mixed martial artist. Andrade first fought on Sept. 6, 2011 in an event called Sagaz Combat which took place in Umuarama, Brazil. She defeated Weidy Borges by TKO in round 2.

10: Fights in her native of Brazil before being invited to test her skills outside of the country. She amassed a record of 8-2, with losses to Kinberly Novaes and Jennifer Maia.

2: Rounds to beat Milana Dudieva in her first fight outside of Brazil. She submitted the Ossetian-Russian via guillotine choke in an event called ProFC 47: Russia Vs. Europe.

50: Significant strikes received from Liz Carmouche in their UFC on Fox 9 encounter. According to Fightmetric, Andrade only tallied 10 significant strikes in her Octagon debut.

206: Significant strikes landed on Rosi Sexton at UFC Fight Night 30.

2: Fights against Raquel Pennington. Andrade went the distance with late replacement Pennington, winning by split decision in their first fight at UFC 171. Andrade was originally scheduled to fight Julianna Pena, but the latter pulled out following a knee injury. In their rematch at UFC 191, she lost by rear-naked choke in round 2.

7: Victories by submission. The Brazilian jiu-jitsu brown belt tapped out Larissa Pacheco and Joanne Calderwood inside the Octagon.

5: Wins by KO or TKO. She has scored one knockout in the UFC, and it was against Jessica Penne. Andrade displayed a striking masterclass, overwhelming the former title challenger with 117 significant strikes, according to Fightmetric. In the second round, Andrade starched her opponent.

7: First-round finishes. Casualties of an early Andrade rally include Bruna Fernandes, Juliana Silva, Duda Yankovich, Alessandra Silva, Vanessa Silva, Larissa Pacheco and Joanne Calderwood.

1: Performance of the Night bonus. Her brilliant first-round submission of Calderwood earned for herself an additional $50,000.
