Dawson, 29, carries an 8-0-1 record across his nine appearances inside the Octagon. The American Top Team export last fought at UFC on ESPN 48, where he took a unanimous decision from Damir Ismagulov in their July 1 encounter. Dawson has secured 13 of his 20 professional victories by submission. Green, meanwhile, has run hot and cold since he joined the UFC roster more than a decade ago. The 37-year-old former King of the Cage champion last competed on July 29, when he put Tony Ferguson to sleep with an arm-triangle choke in the third round of their UFC 291 lightweight showcase.

UFC Fight Night “Dawson vs. Green” also features a welterweight tilt pairing Joaquin Buckley (-175) with Alex Morono (+145), a lightweight affair pitting Drew Dober (-425) against Ricky Glenn (+325) and a featherweight scrap matching Bill Algeo (-120) with Alexander Hernandez (-110). Light heavyweights anchor the undercard, as Moldovan marauder Ion Cutelaba (-150) dukes it out with 2018 Professional Fighters League champion Philipe Lins (+120) in a three-round battle at 205 pounds.
