Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou Weigh-in Results: 20-Pound Difference
Former Ultimate Fighting Championship heavyweight Francis Ngannou returns to the world of boxing for a second time.
"The Predator" faces another stiff test in former heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua, who held the World Boxing Association, International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Organization titles. Ngannou (0-1) is coming off a split decision defeat to World Boxing Council heavyweight titleholder Tyson Fury. It was a much closer fight than anyone imagined, with Ngannou picking up a knockdown and winning several rounds despite Fury (34-0-1) having a significant experience advantage inside the squared circle. Ngannou stepped on the scale weighing 272.6 pounds, which is 20 pounds more this his opponent.
Meanwhile, Joshua (27-3) has successfully found his footing again after losing back-to-back decisions to Oleksandr Usyk. "AJ" had a busy 2023, winning a decision over Jermaine Franklin and then picking up stoppage wins over Robert Helenius and Otto Wallin. Joshua aims to face either Fury or rematch Usyk once again with a victory here. The British fighter officially weighed 252.4 pounds.
The boxing card will air on pay-per-view at 1 p.m. ET/10 a.m. PT on Friday.
