UFC veteran Jason Miller has been arrested for allegedly assaulting a police officer with a deadly weapon at his California home, according to a release from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Miller has been booked into the Orange County Jail and is being held on $50,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court on Monday.

According to the release, deputies responded to a disturbance call and arrived at Miller’s residence at approximately 1:34 a.m. PT. The officers heard a woman screaming and were confronted in the side yard by Miller, who was aggressive and yelling. The fighter then threw a ceramic tile at the deputies before threatening them with a fire extinguisher and a metal pole. Miller ignored the officers’ orders and then went to the backyard, where he was subdued with a taser after an approximately eight-minute struggle.

An investigation revealed that “an altercation had occurred between Miller and two females inside the house.” Both women were interviewed but neither was cooperative with the investigation, the release stated.

Miller’s latest arrest is the latest in a list of transgressions. In August 2012, “Mayhem” was arrested on burglary charges for allegedly breaking into and vandalizing a church in California after he was found naked in the building. He was arrested again in 2014 after barricading himself inside his home when officers arrived to serve an arrest warrant for an alleged stalking incident; Miller provided a live account of the standoff via Twitter account. Most recently, Miller was arrested in March for allegedly brawling with police outside a nightclub in Laguna Beach.

Miller has not competed in mixed martial arts since May 26, 2012, when he dropped a unanimous decision to C.B. Dollaway at UFC 146. In addition to the UFC, Miller has fought for organizations such as Strikeforce, World Extreme Cagefighting and Dream during his 33-bout professional tenure.
