Alexandre Pantoja Caps Off Historic Night With Second Round Submission on 'AXS TV Fights: RFA Vs. Legacy Superfight'

(PRESS RELEASE) -- LOS ANGELES – In a historic night for AXS TV
FIGHTS, the network’s first ever co-promoted event featured top
fighters from Resurrection Fighting Alliance and Legacy Fighting
Championship going head-to-head, two promotional title fights, and
culminated in flyweight superfight between RFA Champion Alexandre
Pantoja (16-2) and Legacy Champion Damacio
Page (19-10). In the closing seconds of round two, Pantoja
captured Page in a triangle choke, winning by technical submission
and claiming the flyweight superfight belt. At the end of the
night, RFA won three out of the four fights against Legacy
fighters.
In the two co-main events, Luke Sanders (10-0) successfully defended his RFA bantamweight belt, defeating RFA challenger Terrion Ware (13-4) by unanimous decision; while Legacy contender Mike Bronzoulis (18-8-1) defeated fellow Legacy fighter Dave Burrow (13-6) via unanimous decision to claim the promotion’s vacant lightweight title.
